A warm welcome to Tain Royal Academy. We trust that the following pages will provide a succinct, readable account of how we prepare the young people of this area to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world. As you will see, we have incorporated advertisements from other educational and training providers to raise awareness of educational opportunities and as a reflection of our commitment to the concept of lifelong learning.

While this prospectus will provide the basic information required by parents, a second booklet prepared by S1 pupils will be issued to P7 pupils next term and will deal with the day to day routines of life at TRA.

Both booklets will stress our desire to create an ethos in which we challenge and encourage all pupils to realise their potential in every aspect of school life. We emphasise the importance of establishing a purposeful, working atmosphere where pupils feel safe, valued and secure.

In so doing, we recognise that we are involved in a partnership with parents and the wider community. We cannot achieve our aims without your support and it is in that spirit that we invite you to enrol your child at Tain Royal Academy.
